Cancellations

If you cancel or reschedule 48 to 24 hours before your appointment time, you will be charged 50% of your service. If you cancel within 24 hours of your appointment time, you will be charged 100% of your service.

LATENESS

There is a 15 minute grace period for late appointments. After that, your appointment is subject to being rescheduled. Please notify your stylist if you are running late. Traffic on Somerset St W is typical, please plan accordingly

Refunds & Adjustments

We do not offer refunds on services, but we are happy to make adjustments on your cut or colour within 2 weeks of appointment. We want you to be happy with your hair and sometimes after wearing it for a couple days, we realize it needs a bit of tweaking! This is normal in the hair world and we encourage our clients to feel comfortable being honest with us.

An adjustment means tweaking the haircut or colour to better fit what was talked about. A change in what was discussed during the consultation is not considered an adjustment and will need to be booked as a separate service.

New client bookings

  • Bleach & Soda is a time + material salon. Each stylist has an hourly rate which you can locate at the top of the menu bar under TEAMS. You can find the approximate timing for each service under SERVICES. You can see approximate service costs below.

  • Material costs will range depending on how thick and long your hair is. The average full head would cost approximately $60.00. The average root touch up would cost approximately $25.00. Your average Toner will cost approximately $25.00

  • We do all our bookings online. Click ‘Book Now’ in the menu bar to get scheduled! All services are as bundled. Haircut timing is measured in length of hair. Any colour services will be bundled with either a blow-dry or a haircut. Pick the bundle that best suits your needs.

    We work as a team and you can select any member of our team to take care of your hair needs. Often, we will work together on one client! This is normal culture here, so feel free to click on any member.

  • Most of us open our books for no more than 3 months at a time (some of us less) so most likely our books will be closed. You can follow your stylist on Instagram (located on our Team Page) to see when their books open.

  • Although Bleach & Soda does not have designated parking, there is plenty of paid street parking on Somerset St and the surrounding area.

  • For regular appointments, a consultation is provided with every service. There are select services (Global blonde and Fashion colours (i.e. pink, purple, blue) that require a consultation before hand to assess the health and integridy of the hair and insure we have enough time to complete the service.

    Our curly haired secialist Candice prefers a virtual consultation before every colour as she has a wide range of hair textures that take diferent amounts of time to complete. This assures that no matter what, you are getting the best service possible.

  • Our salon is wheel chair accessible with universal washroom and a stop -the-gap entrance ramp. To ensure your comfort, here are all the measurements that may apply:

    Front entrance door: 36 “ wide

    Bathroom doorframe: 35”

    cutting/colouring chairs: 24” wide

    Wash basin chairs: 24” wide

    All measurements above or inside measurements.

    Please email us before your appointment if you require the ramp and we will make sure its ready for your arrival.
